Posted - 10/07/2008 : 13:11:50 Hi guys, I'm a bit of an off road newbie, in fact a cycling newbie as a whole. But anyway got myself a new GT MTB. I've been out and about for a bit now and have come across a few friendly cafes etc but I recently visited the cottage tearoom in brinscall chorley, lancashire.
The girls there were really great and made us more than welcome(even though we were really muddy). The cakes are homemade as is most of the food and a good price too. I also was given a short route by someone there that I could ride that was a good mild off road route around the area.
So if your passing through Brinscall on a weekend then drop in for a brew with a smile. I think its on School lane in the middle of the village.
But thumbs up from us.
PS try the Chocolate Cake, then do a few miles to burn it off
